Cushman & Wakefield San Diego Bands with Home Start to Fulfill Children’s Wish List

Cushman & Wakefield’s offices across San Diego recently banded together with local non-profit child abuse prevention and treatment agency, Home Start, Inc.  in a holiday effort to help support several local families. Home Start’s vision is for every child to have a safe, stable, and nurturing home.

Each of our local Cushman & Wakefield offices received a board displaying a list of children’s wishes for various toys, which volunteers then picked a wish to shop for.  More than 50 members from our company helped to shop or donate, and collectively gifted more than 80 new toys, books and games for these children in need.

Founded in 1972 as a highly successful national Head Start demonstration project, Home Start incorporated in 1977 as a San Diego-based, private non-profit agency dedicated to child abuse prevention and to providing evidence-based family strengthening services.

Home Start provides services to children living in poverty who require immediate, comprehensive solutions to ensure their safety and healthy development. Since our founding, Home Start’s countywide programs and services have proven to increase the stability, self-sufficiency and parenting skills of the families who receive our care.
